Site Plan

Urban Scale

On the Urban Scale, my first move was to create a large Catalan-Style Rambla down the central street of the site.  This immediately created main streets and supporting avenues.  Lining the streets with trees according to zoning conditions allowed for a more inviting urban experience much like that of the long ramblas of Barcelona, Spain.

Block/Building Scale

On the Block/Building Scale, I divided each block to hold one large building which supports a large central courtyard.  This allows for two double loaded corridor bars for which program can be assigned to.  The ground floor is left open with storefront glass for retail development.

Unit Scale

On the Unit Scale, each unit consists of four blocks [twelve foot by twelve foot each]  of the overall building.  In each unit, one of these block is devoted to a balcony which either looks out onto the street or into the courtyard.
